From the article: Making Sense of Miscarriage Statistics
Some people find numbers reassuring, but in the case of pregnancy loss statistics, you might also find the numbers to be a big source of anxiety and stress! What's your opinion of miscarriage statistics? Do they help you to relax, or do they just make you worry more about your pregnancy?
I completely agree
- It's rare that I find a post on this sensitive topic that I completely agree with, but this one on statistics nails it. After compiling many statistics from books, studies, and doctors, generally 15% is the number to believe in. I also do not advocate early pregnancy tests, before you expect your period, nor ones bought over the internet without a brand name. They are notoriously inaccurate, which causes great anxiety and stress.
