Having spotting during early pregnancy can be scary, but it doesn't always mean a miscarriage. If you have had spotting during pregnancy, please share your story here. Did you miscarry, or did everything turn out OK? And if the latter, did your doctor find a cause for the spotting?
Share Your StoryI lost my first baby...don't know yet
- I'm 28. After trying for 3 yrs finally I got pregnant. But I didn't know that. As I have PCOS and irregular cycles, I thought my periods were late but I did take a urine test which was negative. When my period was 2 months late I started spotting, which led to heavy bleeding with clots. After 14 days I became worried and went to the gyn doc. After sonography she told me that I conceived and miscarried it. Then I had dnc... My histopathology showed that it was a normal pregnancy but the cause of its termination was not known. I want to know why I lost it because I was craving for a baby.

Bright Red
- I had a missed m/c in October of 08.. 6 months later I have found myself pregnant again. Three nights ago during intercourse I started to bleed bright red. We rushed to the emergency room where I spent 12 hours getting blood work and an u/s. I didn't sleep a wink while I was there. The diagnosis came back as simple bleeding and I have been told to be on bed rest for 2 weeks. Today I am just barely spotting dark brown. The baby's heart rate was normal as was all of my blood work but seeing as I have m/c before I am terrified about what might happen this time around.

I have had it go both ways
- I had spotting last for days and then turn into a miscarriage once. I thought it made it harder that all the online websites kept saying that spotting in early pregnancy is normal. It was like a false reassurance. But then in my next pregnancy, I had brown spotting for one day after having a transvaginal ultrasound and everything was fine.
